Epson XP-325 Reset Waste Ink Counter
When Epson XP-325 reports that an ink pad needs service, restarting the printer alone normally does not clear the lock. A compatible reset procedure is required.
Why the ink pad counter blocks Epson XP-325
During head cleaning and normal maintenance, unused ink is directed into internal absorber pads. Epson XP-325 estimates that accumulation with a software counter; it does not directly measure the physical amount of ink in the pads.
Wic Reset Connect is designed to reset the compatible counter in Epson XP-325. The physical waste ink system should still be inspected and maintained when necessary.
Reset the counter in Epson XP-325
Prepare the computer and connection first. Most unsuccessful attempts are caused by a missing original driver, an indirect USB connection or another Epson utility using the printer.

Install the original driver
Install the official Epson driver for XP-325 and confirm that Windows can see the printer.

Connect directly by USB
Connect Epson XP-325 to the computer without Wi-Fi, a hub or an adapter.

Start Wic Reset Connect
Close Epson Status Monitor, run Wic Reset Connect as Administrator and select Epson XP-325.

Enter the key and reset
Enter the purchased key, choose Reset and keep the printer connected until completion.
If Epson XP-325 is not detected
- Run Wic Reset Connect as Administrator and keep the internet connection active throughout validation.
- Install the original Epson driver for XP-325; a generic Windows driver may not expose the required communication interface.
- Connect the printer directly to the computer. Do not use Wi-Fi, a USB hub, docking station or print server.
- Clear paused print jobs and restart both the printer and Windows if another program is holding the USB connection.
Epson XP-325 reset FAQ
Does the reset clean or replace the ink pads?
No. It changes the stored counter value. Inspect, clean or replace the physical waste ink system when its condition requires it.
What if the first reset attempt fails?
Correct the driver or USB communication problem first. If the key was consumed, use the new-key generator or contact support.
Does Epson XP-325 need service mode?
No. Epson printers do not use the Canon service-mode sequence. Connect the printer normally by USB.
