Epson XP-245 Reset Waste Ink Counter
Epson XP-245 may refuse new print jobs after estimating that the waste ink pads have reached their service limit. Wic Reset Connect can reset the software counter after the printer is prepared correctly.
Before resetting Epson XP-245
The printer protects against possible ink overflow by monitoring an internal service counter. On Epson XP-245, reaching the threshold can trigger an ink pad warning and block further jobs.
Wic Reset Connect is designed to reset the compatible counter in Epson XP-245. The physical waste ink system should still be inspected and maintained when necessary.
Reset the counter in Epson XP-245
Correct preparation protects the reset key from being used during a failed communication attempt. Verify each requirement before selecting Reset.

Install the original driver
Install the official Epson driver for XP-245 and confirm that Windows can see the printer.

Connect directly by USB
Connect Epson XP-245 to the computer without Wi-Fi, a hub or an adapter.

Start Wic Reset Connect
Close Epson Status Monitor, run Wic Reset Connect as Administrator and select Epson XP-245.

Enter the key and reset
Enter the purchased key, choose Reset and keep the printer connected until completion.
If Epson XP-245 is not detected
- Clear paused print jobs and restart both the printer and Windows if another program is holding the USB connection.
- Close Epson Status Monitor and any other Epson maintenance software before starting Wic Reset Connect.
- Install the original Epson driver for XP-245; a generic Windows driver may not expose the required communication interface.
- Try another USB port and a known data-capable USB cable if the printer is not detected.

Does the reset clean or replace the ink pads?
No. It changes the stored counter value. Inspect, clean or replace the physical waste ink system when its condition requires it.
Does Epson XP-245 need service mode?
No. Epson printers do not use the Canon service-mode sequence. Connect the printer normally by USB.
What if the first reset attempt fails?
Correct the driver or USB communication problem first. If the key was consumed, use the new-key generator or contact support.
