Epson T20 Reset Waste Ink Counter
Epson T20 may refuse new print jobs after estimating that the waste ink pads have reached their service limit. Wic Reset Connect can reset the software counter after the printer is prepared correctly.
What the Epson T20 service message means
The printer protects against possible ink overflow by monitoring an internal service counter. On Epson T20, reaching the threshold can trigger an ink pad warning and block further jobs.
Wic Reset Connect is designed to reset the compatible counter in Epson T20. The physical waste ink system should still be inspected and maintained when necessary.
Reset the counter in Epson T20
The reset normally takes only a few minutes, but the printer must be detected correctly before the key is used.
-
Install the original driver
Install the official Epson driver for T20 and confirm that Windows can see the printer.
-
Connect directly by USB
Connect Epson T20 to the computer without Wi-Fi, a hub or an adapter.
-
Start Wic Reset Connect
Close Epson Status Monitor, run Wic Reset Connect as Administrator and select Epson T20.
-

If Epson T20 is not detected
- Connect the printer directly to the computer. Do not use Wi-Fi, a USB hub, docking station or print server.
- Install the original Epson driver for T20; a generic Windows driver may not expose the required communication interface.
- Clear paused print jobs and restart both the printer and Windows if another program is holding the USB connection.
- Run Wic Reset Connect as Administrator and keep the internet connection active throughout validation.
Epson T20 reset FAQ
What if the first reset attempt fails?
Correct the driver or USB communication problem first. If the key was consumed, use the new-key generator or contact support.
Does the reset clean or replace the ink pads?
No. It changes the stored counter value. Inspect, clean or replace the physical waste ink system when its condition requires it.
How long does the reset take?
The reset itself usually finishes in about 1–2 minutes after the printer has been detected correctly.
