Epson NX430 Reset Waste Ink Counter

Before resetting Epson NX430
Every cleaning cycle sends a small amount of ink to the waste ink system. Epson NX430 adds that activity to its counter and displays a maintenance warning when the programmed threshold is reached.
Wic Reset Connect is designed to reset the compatible counter in Epson NX430. The physical waste ink system should still be inspected and maintained when necessary.
Reset the counter in Epson NX430
Start with the connection checks below, then run the reset without opening other printer programs during the process.

Install the original driver
Install the official Epson driver for NX430 and confirm that Windows can see the printer.

Connect directly by USB
Connect Epson NX430 to the computer without Wi-Fi, a hub or an adapter.

Start Wic Reset Connect
Close Epson Status Monitor, run Wic Reset Connect as Administrator and select Epson NX430.

Enter the key and reset
Enter the purchased key, choose Reset and keep the printer connected until completion.
If Epson NX430 is not detected
- Close Epson Status Monitor and any other Epson maintenance software before starting Wic Reset Connect.
- Clear paused print jobs and restart both the printer and Windows if another program is holding the USB connection.
- Try another USB port and a known data-capable USB cable if the printer is not detected.
- Connect the printer directly to the computer. Do not use Wi-Fi, a USB hub, docking station or print server.

Does the reset clean or replace the ink pads?
No. It changes the stored counter value. Inspect, clean or replace the physical waste ink system when its condition requires it.
Does Epson NX430 need service mode?
No. Epson printers do not use the Canon service-mode sequence. Connect the printer normally by USB.
Can I reset Epson NX430 over Wi-Fi?
No. Wic Reset Connect requires a direct USB connection to the Windows computer.
