Canon MG5750 Ink Absorber Full Reset
When Canon MG5750 reports that the ink absorber is full, turning it off and on will not normally remove the lock. The printer must be prepared correctly and its counter reset.
Understanding the Canon MG5750 ink absorber warning
The lock is based on accumulated maintenance activity. Resetting Canon MG5750 changes the counter value but does not remove ink already held in the absorber material.

How to enter service mode on Canon MG5750
- Turn the printer off.

Connect Canon MG5750 to a Windows 7, 8, 10 or 11 computer without Wi-Fi or a USB hub.

Run the program as Administrator and wait until the Canon service-mode device is detected.

Enter the key and reset
Enter the purchased key, select Reset and keep the printer connected until confirmation appears.
If Canon MG5750 is not detected
- Connect Canon MG5750 directly to the computer and try another data-capable USB cable or port.
- If the power light blinks, resolve the displayed cartridge, paper or mechanical error before trying service mode again.
- Close Canon maintenance utilities and clear paused print jobs before opening Wic Reset Connect.
- Run Wic Reset Connect as Administrator and keep internet access active for key validation.
