How to enter service mode on Canon MB5050
- Turn the printer off.

Connect directly by USB
Connect Canon MB5050 to a Windows 7, 8, 10 or 11 computer without Wi-Fi or a USB hub.

Start Wic Reset Connect
Run the program as Administrator and wait until the Canon service-mode device is detected.

Enter the key and reset
Enter the purchased key, select Reset and keep the printer connected until confirmation appears.
If Canon MB5050 is not detected
- Close Canon maintenance utilities and clear paused print jobs before opening Wic Reset Connect.
- Connect Canon MB5050 directly to the computer and try another data-capable USB cable or port.
- Run Wic Reset Connect as Administrator and keep internet access active for key validation.
- If the power light blinks, resolve the displayed cartridge, paper or mechanical error before trying service mode again.
