Epson WF-2761 Reset Waste Ink Counter
When Epson WF-2761 reports that an ink pad needs service, restarting the printer alone normally does not clear the lock. A compatible reset procedure is required.
What the Epson WF-2761 service message means
Waste ink produced by cleaning cycles is collected inside the printer. Epson WF-2761 tracks those cycles electronically and can stop printing when the calculated limit is reached.
Wic Reset Connect is designed to reset the compatible counter in Epson WF-2761. The physical waste ink system should still be inspected and maintained when necessary.
Reset the counter in Epson WF-2761
The reset normally takes only a few minutes, but the printer must be detected correctly before the key is used.

Install the original driver
Install the official Epson driver for WF-2761 and confirm that Windows can see the printer.

Connect directly by USB
Connect Epson WF-2761 to the computer without Wi-Fi, a hub or an adapter.

Start Wic Reset Connect
Close Epson Status Monitor, run Wic Reset Connect as Administrator and select Epson WF-2761.

Enter the key and reset
Enter the purchased key, choose Reset and keep the printer connected until completion.
If Epson WF-2761 is not detected
- Close Epson Status Monitor and any other Epson maintenance software before starting Wic Reset Connect.
- Connect the printer directly to the computer. Do not use Wi-Fi, a USB hub, docking station or print server.
- Try another USB port and a known data-capable USB cable if the printer is not detected.
- Install the original Epson driver for WF-2761; a generic Windows driver may not expose the required communication interface.

The reset itself usually finishes in about 1–2 minutes after the printer has been detected correctly.
