Epson SX215 Reset Waste Ink Counter
When Epson SX215 reports that an ink pad needs service, restarting the printer alone normally does not clear the lock. A compatible reset procedure is required.
Why the ink pad counter blocks Epson SX215
During head cleaning and normal maintenance, unused ink is directed into internal absorber pads. Epson SX215 estimates that accumulation with a software counter; it does not directly measure the physical amount of ink in the pads.
Wic Reset Connect is designed to reset the compatible counter in Epson SX215. The physical waste ink system should still be inspected and maintained when necessary.
Reset the counter in Epson SX215
Start with the connection checks below, then run the reset without opening other printer programs during the process.

Install the original driver
Install the official Epson driver for SX215 and confirm that Windows can see the printer.

Connect directly by USB
Connect Epson SX215 to the computer without Wi-Fi, a hub or an adapter.

Start Wic Reset Connect
Close Epson Status Monitor, run Wic Reset Connect as Administrator and select Epson SX215.

Enter the key and reset
Enter the purchased key, choose Reset and keep the printer connected until completion.
If Epson SX215 is not detected
- Install the original Epson driver for SX215; a generic Windows driver may not expose the required communication interface.
- Close Epson Status Monitor and any other Epson maintenance software before starting Wic Reset Connect.
- Run Wic Reset Connect as Administrator and keep the internet connection active throughout validation.
- Connect the printer directly to the computer. Do not use Wi-Fi, a USB hub, docking station or print server.

Can I reset Epson SX215 over Wi-Fi?
No. Wic Reset Connect requires a direct USB connection to the Windows computer.
What if the first reset attempt fails?
Correct the driver or USB communication problem first. If the key was consumed, use the new-key generator or contact support.
Does Epson SX215 need service mode?
No. Epson printers do not use the Canon service-mode sequence. Connect the printer normally by USB.
