What the Epson ME-101 service message means
Waste ink produced by cleaning cycles is collected inside the printer. Epson ME-101 tracks those cycles electronically and can stop printing when the calculated limit is reached.
Wic Reset Connect is designed to reset the compatible counter in Epson ME-101. The physical waste ink system should still be inspected and maintained when necessary.
Reset the counter in Epson ME-101
Start with the connection checks below, then run the reset without opening other printer programs during the process.

Install the original driver
Install the official Epson driver for ME-101 and confirm that Windows can see the printer.

Connect directly by USB
Connect Epson ME-101 to the computer without Wi-Fi, a hub or an adapter.

Start Wic Reset Connect
Close Epson Status Monitor, run Wic Reset Connect as Administrator and select Epson ME-101.

Enter the key and reset
Enter the purchased key, choose Reset and keep the printer connected until completion.
If Epson ME-101 is not detected
- Try another USB port and a known data-capable USB cable if the printer is not detected.
- Close Epson Status Monitor and any other Epson maintenance software before starting Wic Reset Connect.
- Clear paused print jobs and restart both the printer and Windows if another program is holding the USB connection.
- Connect the printer directly to the computer. Do not use Wi-Fi, a USB hub, docking station or print server.

What if the first reset attempt fails?
Correct the driver or USB communication problem first. If the key was consumed, use the new-key generator or contact support.
Does Epson ME-101 need service mode?
No. Epson printers do not use the Canon service-mode sequence. Connect the printer normally by USB.

No. Wic Reset Connect requires a direct USB connection to the Windows computer.
