Canon TS701 Ink Absorber Full Reset
Canon TS701 may block print jobs after recording enough cleaning and maintenance cycles. Use the sequence below to enter service mode and reset the stored value.
The waste ink counter inside Canon TS701
Cleaning operations send unused ink into absorber pads inside the printer. Canon TS701 estimates their usage with an electronic counter and can lock printing when that value reaches its limit.
Wic Reset Connect is designed to reset the compatible counter in Canon TS701. The physical waste ink system should still be inspected and maintained when necessary.
How to enter service mode on Canon TS701
- Turn the printer off.

Reset the counter in Canon TS701

Prepare the printer
Resolve other errors, confirm a steady power light and enter service mode using the sequence above.

Connect directly by USB
Connect Canon TS701 to a Windows 7, 8, 10 or 11 computer without Wi-Fi or a USB hub.

Start Wic Reset Connect
Run the program as Administrator and wait until the Canon service-mode device is detected.

Enter the key and reset
Enter the purchased key, select Reset and keep the printer connected until confirmation appears.
If Canon TS701 is not detected
- If Windows does not detect a service-mode device, restart the printer normally, wait 10 seconds and repeat the preparation.
- Repeat the button sequence at a steady pace; releasing Power too early is a common reason service mode fails.
- If the power light blinks, resolve the displayed cartridge, paper or mechanical error before trying service mode again.
- Connect Canon TS701 directly to the computer and try another data-capable USB cable or port.

No. Use a direct USB connection between the printer and a Windows computer.
Does Canon TS701 require service mode?
