Canon TS5340 Ink Absorber Full Reset
If Canon TS5340 displays an ink absorber full or service-required warning, the stored waste ink counter may have reached its limit. This guide covers service mode, USB preparation and the reset itself.
Before resetting Canon TS5340
An absorber message concerns both software and maintenance. The counter can be reset, while heavily saturated pads may still need cleaning or replacement.

How to enter service mode on Canon TS5340
- Turn the printer off.

Reset the counter in Canon TS5340

Resolve other errors, confirm a steady power light and enter service mode using the sequence above.

Connect directly by USB
Connect Canon TS5340 to a Windows 7, 8, 10 or 11 computer without Wi-Fi or a USB hub.

Run the program as Administrator and wait until the Canon service-mode device is detected.

Enter the key and reset
Enter the purchased key, select Reset and keep the printer connected until confirmation appears.
If Canon TS5340 is not detected
- Run Wic Reset Connect as Administrator and keep internet access active for key validation.
- If Windows does not detect a service-mode device, restart the printer normally, wait 10 seconds and repeat the preparation.
- Connect Canon TS5340 directly to the computer and try another data-capable USB cable or port.
- Repeat the button sequence at a steady pace; releasing Power too early is a common reason service mode fails.
