Before resetting Epson XP-625
Every cleaning cycle sends a small amount of ink to the waste ink system. Epson XP-625 adds that activity to its counter and displays a maintenance warning when the programmed threshold is reached.

Start with the connection checks below, then run the reset without opening other printer programs during the process.

Install the original driver
Install the official Epson driver for XP-625 and confirm that Windows can see the printer.

Connect directly by USB
Connect Epson XP-625 to the computer without Wi-Fi, a hub or an adapter.

Start Wic Reset Connect
Close Epson Status Monitor, run Wic Reset Connect as Administrator and select Epson XP-625.

Enter the key and reset
Enter the purchased key, choose Reset and keep the printer connected until completion.
If Epson XP-625 is not detected
- Run Wic Reset Connect as Administrator and keep the internet connection active throughout validation.
- Try another USB port and a known data-capable USB cable if the printer is not detected.
- Clear paused print jobs and restart both the printer and Windows if another program is holding the USB connection.
- Connect the printer directly to the computer. Do not use Wi-Fi, a USB hub, docking station or print server.

Correct the driver or USB communication problem first. If the key was consumed, use the new-key generator or contact support.
Does Epson XP-625 need service mode?
No. Epson printers do not use the Canon service-mode sequence. Connect the printer normally by USB.
