Epson TX209 Reset Waste Ink Counter
A waste ink counter warning can prevent Epson TX209 from printing even when the printer is otherwise working normally. Follow the checks and reset sequence below to restore operation safely.
Before resetting Epson TX209
An ink pad message is a maintenance safeguard. It indicates that Epson TX209 has reached a stored waste ink value that must be reset before normal printing can resume.
Wic Reset Connect is designed to reset the compatible counter in Epson TX209. The physical waste ink system should still be inspected and maintained when necessary.
Reset the counter in Epson TX209

-
Connect directly by USB
Connect Epson TX209 to the computer without Wi-Fi, a hub or an adapter.

-
Enter the key and reset
Enter the purchased key, choose Reset and keep the printer connected until completion.
If Epson TX209 is not detected
- Run Wic Reset Connect as Administrator and keep the internet connection active throughout validation.
- Close Epson Status Monitor and any other Epson maintenance software before starting Wic Reset Connect.
- Connect the printer directly to the computer. Do not use Wi-Fi, a USB hub, docking station or print server.
- Try another USB port and a known data-capable USB cable if the printer is not detected.
