What the Epson ME-70 service message means
Every cleaning cycle sends a small amount of ink to the waste ink system. Epson ME-70 adds that activity to its counter and displays a maintenance warning when the programmed threshold is reached.
Wic Reset Connect is designed to reset the compatible counter in Epson ME-70. The physical waste ink system should still be inspected and maintained when necessary.
Reset the counter in Epson ME-70
Complete these steps in order. A direct USB connection and the original Epson driver are essential for reliable communication.

Install the original driver
Install the official Epson driver for ME-70 and confirm that Windows can see the printer.

Connect directly by USB
Connect Epson ME-70 to the computer without Wi-Fi, a hub or an adapter.

Start Wic Reset Connect
Close Epson Status Monitor, run Wic Reset Connect as Administrator and select Epson ME-70.

Enter the key and reset
Enter the purchased key, choose Reset and keep the printer connected until completion.
If Epson ME-70 is not detected
- Run Wic Reset Connect as Administrator and keep the internet connection active throughout validation.
- Clear paused print jobs and restart both the printer and Windows if another program is holding the USB connection.
- Connect the printer directly to the computer. Do not use Wi-Fi, a USB hub, docking station or print server.
- Close Epson Status Monitor and any other Epson maintenance software before starting Wic Reset Connect.

Does Epson ME-70 need service mode?
No. Epson printers do not use the Canon service-mode sequence. Connect the printer normally by USB.
What if the first reset attempt fails?
Correct the driver or USB communication problem first. If the key was consumed, use the new-key generator or contact support.
