Epson ET-1114 Reset Waste Ink Counter

Understanding the Epson ET-1114 waste ink warning
Waste ink produced by cleaning cycles is collected inside the printer. Epson ET-1114 tracks those cycles electronically and can stop printing when the calculated limit is reached.
Wic Reset Connect is designed to reset the compatible counter in Epson ET-1114. The physical waste ink system should still be inspected and maintained when necessary.
Reset the counter in Epson ET-1114
Prepare the computer and connection first. Most unsuccessful attempts are caused by a missing original driver, an indirect USB connection or another Epson utility using the printer.

Install the original driver
Install the official Epson driver for ET-1114 and confirm that Windows can see the printer.

Connect directly by USB
Connect Epson ET-1114 to the computer without Wi-Fi, a hub or an adapter.

Start Wic Reset Connect
Close Epson Status Monitor, run Wic Reset Connect as Administrator and select Epson ET-1114.

Enter the key and reset
Enter the purchased key, choose Reset and keep the printer connected until completion.
If Epson ET-1114 is not detected
- Run Wic Reset Connect as Administrator and keep the internet connection active throughout validation.
- Clear paused print jobs and restart both the printer and Windows if another program is holding the USB connection.
- Connect the printer directly to the computer. Do not use Wi-Fi, a USB hub, docking station or print server.
- Install the original Epson driver for ET-1114; a generic Windows driver may not expose the required communication interface.
