Why Epson C58 stops printing
An ink pad message is a maintenance safeguard. It indicates that Epson C58 has reached a stored waste ink value that must be reset before normal printing can resume.

Reset the counter in Epson C58

Install the original driver
Install the official Epson driver for C58 and confirm that Windows can see the printer.

Connect directly by USB
Connect Epson C58 to the computer without Wi-Fi, a hub or an adapter.

Start Wic Reset Connect
Close Epson Status Monitor, run Wic Reset Connect as Administrator and select Epson C58.

Enter the key and reset
Enter the purchased key, choose Reset and keep the printer connected until completion.
If Epson C58 is not detected
- Connect the printer directly to the computer. Do not use Wi-Fi, a USB hub, docking station or print server.
- Clear paused print jobs and restart both the printer and Windows if another program is holding the USB connection.
- Try another USB port and a known data-capable USB cable if the printer is not detected.
- Install the original Epson driver for C58; a generic Windows driver may not expose the required communication interface.
