Canon G1410 Ink Absorber Full Reset
An absorber warning on Canon G1410 does not necessarily mean that the printer is mechanically damaged. The software counter and the physical pads must be considered separately.
What stops Canon G1410 from printing
Waste ink is routed away from the print head and retained inside the printer. The firmware in Canon G1410 calculates usage and may stop new jobs to reduce overflow risk.
Wic Reset Connect is designed to reset the compatible counter in Canon G1410. The physical waste ink system should still be inspected and maintained when necessary.
How to enter service mode on Canon G1410
- Turn the printer off.

- Release Stop/Reset but keep holding Power.
- Press and release Stop/Reset 5krát.
- Wait briefly, then release Power. The power indicator should remain steadily lit.
Reset the counter in Canon G1410
Service mode must be entered correctly before Wic Reset Connect can communicate with the maintenance interface. Resolve other printer errors first.

Prepare the printer
Resolve other errors, confirm a steady power light and enter service mode using the sequence above.

Connect directly by USB
Connect Canon G1410 to a Windows 7, 8, 10 or 11 computer without Wi-Fi or a USB hub.

Start Wic Reset Connect
Run the program as Administrator and wait until the Canon service-mode device is detected.

Enter the key and reset
Enter the purchased key, select Reset and keep the printer connected until confirmation appears.
If Canon G1410 is not detected
- Repeat the button sequence at a steady pace; releasing Power too early is a common reason service mode fails.
- Run Wic Reset Connect as Administrator and keep internet access active for key validation.
- If the power light blinks, resolve the displayed cartridge, paper or mechanical error before trying service mode again.
- Connect Canon G1410 directly to the computer and try another data-capable USB cable or port.

Does the reset clean the ink absorber?
No. It resets the stored counter. Inspect, clean or replace the absorber pads when their physical condition requires maintenance.
