Epson T13 Reset Waste Ink Counter
The service-required message on Epson T13 often relates to the internal waste ink counter rather than an empty cartridge or paper fault. The steps below help you confirm and resolve that condition.
Before resetting Epson T13
The printer protects against possible ink overflow by monitoring an internal service counter. On Epson T13, reaching the threshold can trigger an ink pad warning and block further jobs.
Wic Reset Connect is designed to reset the compatible counter in Epson T13. The physical waste ink system should still be inspected and maintained when necessary.
Reset the counter in Epson T13
Correct preparation protects the reset key from being used during a failed communication attempt. Verify each requirement before selecting Reset.

Install the original driver
Install the official Epson driver for T13 and confirm that Windows can see the printer.

Connect directly by USB
Connect Epson T13 to the computer without Wi-Fi, a hub or an adapter.

Start Wic Reset Connect
Close Epson Status Monitor, run Wic Reset Connect as Administrator and select Epson T13.

Enter the key and reset
Enter the purchased key, choose Reset and keep the printer connected until completion.
If Epson T13 is not detected
- Run Wic Reset Connect as Administrator and keep the internet connection active throughout validation.
- Close Epson Status Monitor and any other Epson maintenance software before starting Wic Reset Connect.
- Connect the printer directly to the computer. Do not use Wi-Fi, a USB hub, docking station or print server.
- Try another USB port and a known data-capable USB cable if the printer is not detected.

Does Epson T13 need service mode?
No. Epson printers do not use the Canon service-mode sequence. Connect the printer normally by USB.
How long does the reset take?
The reset itself usually finishes in about 1–2 minutes after the printer has been detected correctly.
Does the reset clean or replace the ink pads?
No. It changes the stored counter value. Inspect, clean or replace the physical waste ink system when its condition requires it.
