Epson Artisan 710 Reset Waste Ink Counter
When Epson Artisan 710 reports that an ink pad needs service, restarting the printer alone normally does not clear the lock. A compatible reset procedure is required.
The counter behind the Epson Artisan 710 warning
Waste ink produced by cleaning cycles is collected inside the printer. Epson Artisan 710 tracks those cycles electronically and can stop printing when the calculated limit is reached.
Wic Reset Connect is designed to reset the compatible counter in Epson Artisan 710. The physical waste ink system should still be inspected and maintained when necessary.
Reset the counter in Epson Artisan 710
Prepare the computer and connection first. Most unsuccessful attempts are caused by a missing original driver, an indirect USB connection or another Epson utility using the printer.

Install the original driver
Install the official Epson driver for Artisan 710 and confirm that Windows can see the printer.

Connect directly by USB
Connect Epson Artisan 710 to the computer without Wi-Fi, a hub or an adapter.

Start Wic Reset Connect
Close Epson Status Monitor, run Wic Reset Connect as Administrator and select Epson Artisan 710.

Enter the key and reset
Enter the purchased key, choose Reset and keep the printer connected until completion.
If Epson Artisan 710 is not detected
- Run Wic Reset Connect as Administrator and keep the internet connection active throughout validation.
- Try another USB port and a known data-capable USB cable if the printer is not detected.
- Close Epson Status Monitor and any other Epson maintenance software before starting Wic Reset Connect.
- Connect the printer directly to the computer. Do not use Wi-Fi, a USB hub, docking station or print server.

How long does the reset take?
