Canon G3900 Ink Absorber Full Reset
When Canon G3900 reports that the ink absorber is full, turning it off and on will not normally remove the lock. The printer must be prepared correctly and its counter reset.
The waste ink counter inside Canon G3900
Cleaning operations send unused ink into absorber pads inside the printer. Canon G3900 estimates their usage with an electronic counter and can lock printing when that value reaches its limit.
Wic Reset Connect is designed to reset the compatible counter in Canon G3900. The physical waste ink system should still be inspected and maintained when necessary.
How to enter service mode on Canon G3900
- Turn the printer off.

Enter the purchased key, select Reset and keep the printer connected until confirmation appears.
If Canon G3900 is not detected
- If the power light blinks, resolve the displayed cartridge, paper or mechanical error before trying service mode again.
- Close Canon maintenance utilities and clear paused print jobs before opening Wic Reset Connect.
- Repeat the button sequence at a steady pace; releasing Power too early is a common reason service mode fails.
- Connect Canon G3900 directly to the computer and try another data-capable USB cable or port.
