Why the ink pad counter blocks Epson XP-303
An ink pad message is a maintenance safeguard. It indicates that Epson XP-303 has reached a stored waste ink value that must be reset before normal printing can resume.

Install the original driver
Install the official Epson driver for XP-303 and confirm that Windows can see the printer.

Connect directly by USB
Connect Epson XP-303 to the computer without Wi-Fi, a hub or an adapter.

Start Wic Reset Connect
Close Epson Status Monitor, run Wic Reset Connect as Administrator and select Epson XP-303.

Enter the key and reset
Enter the purchased key, choose Reset and keep the printer connected until completion.
If Epson XP-303 is not detected
- Install the original Epson driver for XP-303; a generic Windows driver may not expose the required communication interface.
- Clear paused print jobs and restart both the printer and Windows if another program is holding the USB connection.
- Connect the printer directly to the computer. Do not use Wi-Fi, a USB hub, docking station or print server.
- Try another USB port and a known data-capable USB cable if the printer is not detected.
