Canon GM2011 Ink Absorber Full Reset
If Canon GM2011 displays an ink absorber full or service-required warning, the stored waste ink counter may have reached its limit. This guide covers service mode, USB preparation and the reset itself.
The waste ink counter inside Canon GM2011
The lock is based on accumulated maintenance activity. Resetting Canon GM2011 changes the counter value but does not remove ink already held in the absorber material.
Wic Reset Connect is designed to reset the compatible counter in Canon GM2011. The physical waste ink system should still be inspected and maintained when necessary.
How to enter service mode on Canon GM2011
- Turn the printer off.

Connect Canon GM2011 to a Windows 7, 8, 10 or 11 computer without Wi-Fi or a USB hub.

Start Wic Reset Connect
Run the program as Administrator and wait until the Canon service-mode device is detected.

Enter the key and reset
Enter the purchased key, select Reset and keep the printer connected until confirmation appears.
If Canon GM2011 is not detected
- Repeat the button sequence at a steady pace; releasing Power too early is a common reason service mode fails.
- If the power light blinks, resolve the displayed cartridge, paper or mechanical error before trying service mode again.
- Close Canon maintenance utilities and clear paused print jobs before opening Wic Reset Connect.
- Connect Canon GM2011 directly to the computer and try another data-capable USB cable or port.
