Epson WorkForce 323 Reset Waste Ink Counter
Epson WorkForce 323 records cleaning cycles and waste ink usage in an internal counter. When that value reaches its programmed limit, printing can stop until the counter is reset.
The counter behind the Epson WorkForce 323 warning
During head cleaning and normal maintenance, unused ink is directed into internal absorber pads. Epson WorkForce 323 estimates that accumulation with a software counter; it does not directly measure the physical amount of ink in the pads.
Wic Reset Connect is designed to reset the compatible counter in Epson WorkForce 323. The physical waste ink system should still be inspected and maintained when necessary.
Reset the counter in Epson WorkForce 323
The reset normally takes only a few minutes, but the printer must be detected correctly before the key is used.

Install the original driver
Install the official Epson driver for WorkForce 323 and confirm that Windows can see the printer.

Connect directly by USB
Connect Epson WorkForce 323 to the computer without Wi-Fi, a hub or an adapter.

Start Wic Reset Connect
Close Epson Status Monitor, run Wic Reset Connect as Administrator and select Epson WorkForce 323.

Enter the key and reset
Enter the purchased key, choose Reset and keep the printer connected until completion.
If Epson WorkForce 323 is not detected
- Clear paused print jobs and restart both the printer and Windows if another program is holding the USB connection.
- Connect the printer directly to the computer. Do not use Wi-Fi, a USB hub, docking station or print server.
- Run Wic Reset Connect as Administrator and keep the internet connection active throughout validation.
- Close Epson Status Monitor and any other Epson maintenance software before starting Wic Reset Connect.
