Why Epson L5318 stops printing
Epson L5318 uses stored counter data to estimate absorber usage. The estimate may reach its limit before the pads appear completely saturated, but physical maintenance should still be considered.

Reset the counter in Epson L5318

Install the original driver
Install the official Epson driver for L5318 and confirm that Windows can see the printer.

Connect Epson L5318 to the computer without Wi-Fi, a hub or an adapter.

Close Epson Status Monitor, run Wic Reset Connect as Administrator and select Epson L5318.

Enter the key and reset
Enter the purchased key, choose Reset and keep the printer connected until completion.
If Epson L5318 is not detected
- Install the original Epson driver for L5318; a generic Windows driver may not expose the required communication interface.
- Run Wic Reset Connect as Administrator and keep the internet connection active throughout validation.
- Try another USB port and a known data-capable USB cable if the printer is not detected.
- Clear paused print jobs and restart both the printer and Windows if another program is holding the USB connection.
