Before resetting Epson EP-708A
Waste ink produced by cleaning cycles is collected inside the printer. Epson EP-708A tracks those cycles electronically and can stop printing when the calculated limit is reached.
Wic Reset Connect is designed to reset the compatible counter in Epson EP-708A. The physical waste ink system should still be inspected and maintained when necessary.
Reset the counter in Epson EP-708A
Start with the connection checks below, then run the reset without opening other printer programs during the process.

Install the original driver
Install the official Epson driver for EP-708A and confirm that Windows can see the printer.

Connect directly by USB
Connect Epson EP-708A to the computer without Wi-Fi, a hub or an adapter.

Start Wic Reset Connect
Close Epson Status Monitor, run Wic Reset Connect as Administrator and select Epson EP-708A.

Enter the key and reset
Enter the purchased key, choose Reset and keep the printer connected until completion.
If Epson EP-708A is not detected
- Connect the printer directly to the computer. Do not use Wi-Fi, a USB hub, docking station or print server.
- Clear paused print jobs and restart both the printer and Windows if another program is holding the USB connection.
- Install the original Epson driver for EP-708A; a generic Windows driver may not expose the required communication interface.
- Close Epson Status Monitor and any other Epson maintenance software before starting Wic Reset Connect.

Does Epson EP-708A need service mode?
No. Epson printers do not use the Canon service-mode sequence. Connect the printer normally by USB.
What if the first reset attempt fails?
Correct the driver or USB communication problem first. If the key was consumed, use the new-key generator or contact support.
Does the reset clean or replace the ink pads?
No. It changes the stored counter value. Inspect, clean or replace the physical waste ink system when its condition requires it.
