Canon TS8090 Ink Absorber Full Reset
If Canon TS8090 displays an ink absorber full or service-required warning, the stored waste ink counter may have reached its limit. This guide covers service mode, USB preparation and the reset itself.
Before resetting Canon TS8090
Cleaning operations send unused ink into absorber pads inside the printer. Canon TS8090 estimates their usage with an electronic counter and can lock printing when that value reaches its limit.

How to enter service mode on Canon TS8090
- Turn the printer off.

Connect directly by USB
Connect Canon TS8090 to a Windows 7, 8, 10 or 11 computer without Wi-Fi or a USB hub.

Run the program as Administrator and wait until the Canon service-mode device is detected.

Enter the key and reset
Enter the purchased key, select Reset and keep the printer connected until confirmation appears.
If Canon TS8090 is not detected
- Close Canon maintenance utilities and clear paused print jobs before opening Wic Reset Connect.
- If the power light blinks, resolve the displayed cartridge, paper or mechanical error before trying service mode again.
- If Windows does not detect a service-mode device, restart the printer normally, wait 10 seconds and repeat the preparation.
- Repeat the button sequence at a steady pace; releasing Power too early is a common reason service mode fails.
