Canon MB5340 Ink Absorber Full Reset
Canon MB5340 can stop printing when its internal ink absorber counter reaches a programmed threshold. Follow the model-specific preparation below before using Wic Reset Connect.
Understanding the Canon MB5340 ink absorber warning
The lock is based on accumulated maintenance activity. Resetting Canon MB5340 changes the counter value but does not remove ink already held in the absorber material.
Wic Reset Connect is designed to reset the compatible counter in Canon MB5340. The physical waste ink system should still be inspected and maintained when necessary.
How to enter service mode on Canon MB5340
- Turn the printer off.

- Press and release Stop/Reset 5 puta.

Reset the counter in Canon MB5340
First make sure the power indicator is steady and no cartridge or mechanical error is active. Then prepare the Windows computer and direct USB connection.

Prepare the printer
Resolve other errors, confirm a steady power light and enter service mode using the sequence above.

Connect directly by USB
Connect Canon MB5340 to a Windows 7, 8, 10 or 11 computer without Wi-Fi or a USB hub.

Start Wic Reset Connect
Run the program as Administrator and wait until the Canon service-mode device is detected.

Enter the key and reset
Enter the purchased key, select Reset and keep the printer connected until confirmation appears.
If Canon MB5340 is not detected
- If the power light blinks, resolve the displayed cartridge, paper or mechanical error before trying service mode again.
- Close Canon maintenance utilities and clear paused print jobs before opening Wic Reset Connect.
- Run Wic Reset Connect as Administrator and keep internet access active for key validation.
- Connect Canon MB5340 directly to the computer and try another data-capable USB cable or port.
