Canon MB5110 Ink Absorber Full Reset
If Canon MB5110 displays an ink absorber full or service-required warning, the stored waste ink counter may have reached its limit. This guide covers service mode, USB preparation and the reset itself.
Understanding the Canon MB5110 ink absorber warning
Waste ink is routed away from the print head and retained inside the printer. The firmware in Canon MB5110 calculates usage and may stop new jobs to reduce overflow risk.

How to enter service mode on Canon MB5110
- Turn the printer off.

Connect Canon MB5110 to a Windows 7, 8, 10 or 11 computer without Wi-Fi or a USB hub.

Start Wic Reset Connect
Run the program as Administrator and wait until the Canon service-mode device is detected.

Enter the key and reset
Enter the purchased key, select Reset and keep the printer connected until confirmation appears.
If Canon MB5110 is not detected
- If Windows does not detect a service-mode device, restart the printer normally, wait 10 seconds and repeat the preparation.
- If the power light blinks, resolve the displayed cartridge, paper or mechanical error before trying service mode again.
- Close Canon maintenance utilities and clear paused print jobs before opening Wic Reset Connect.
- Run Wic Reset Connect as Administrator and keep internet access active for key validation.
