Epson L3233 Reset Waste Ink Counter
When Epson L3233 reports that an ink pad needs service, restarting the printer alone normally does not clear the lock. A compatible reset procedure is required.
The counter behind the Epson L3233 warning
Every cleaning cycle sends a small amount of ink to the waste ink system. Epson L3233 adds that activity to its counter and displays a maintenance warning when the programmed threshold is reached.
Wic Reset Connect is designed to reset the compatible counter in Epson L3233. The physical waste ink system should still be inspected and maintained when necessary.
Reset the counter in Epson L3233
Use the sequence below to establish a stable USB connection and clear the waste ink counter.

Install the original driver
Install the official Epson driver for L3233 and confirm that Windows can see the printer.

Connect directly by USB
Connect Epson L3233 to the computer without Wi-Fi, a hub or an adapter.

Start Wic Reset Connect
Close Epson Status Monitor, run Wic Reset Connect as Administrator and select Epson L3233.

Enter the key and reset
Enter the purchased key, choose Reset and keep the printer connected until completion.
If Epson L3233 is not detected
- Connect the printer directly to the computer. Do not use Wi-Fi, a USB hub, docking station or print server.
- Install the original Epson driver for L3233; a generic Windows driver may not expose the required communication interface.
- Clear paused print jobs and restart both the printer and Windows if another program is holding the USB connection.
- Try another USB port and a known data-capable USB cable if the printer is not detected.

What if the first reset attempt fails?
Correct the driver or USB communication problem first. If the key was consumed, use the new-key generator or contact support.
Can I reset Epson L3233 over Wi-Fi?
No. Wic Reset Connect requires a direct USB connection to the Windows computer.
Does the reset clean or replace the ink pads?
No. It changes the stored counter value. Inspect, clean or replace the physical waste ink system when its condition requires it.
