A waste ink counter warning can prevent Epson ET-2720 from printing even when the printer is otherwise working normally. Follow the checks and reset sequence below to restore operation safely.
Before resetting Epson ET-2720
Epson ET-2720 uses stored counter data to estimate absorber usage. The estimate may reach its limit before the pads appear completely saturated, but physical maintenance should still be considered.
Wic Reset Connect is designed to reset the compatible counter in Epson ET-2720. The physical waste ink system should still be inspected and maintained when necessary.
Reset the counter in Epson ET-2720
Complete these steps in order. A direct USB connection and the original Epson driver are essential for reliable communication.

Install the original driver
Install the official Epson driver for ET-2720 and confirm that Windows can see the printer.

Connect directly by USB
Connect Epson ET-2720 to the computer without Wi-Fi, a hub or an adapter.

Start Wic Reset Connect
Close Epson Status Monitor, run Wic Reset Connect as Administrator and select Epson ET-2720.

Enter the key and reset
Enter the purchased key, choose Reset and keep the printer connected until completion.
If Epson ET-2720 is not detected
- Try another USB port and a known data-capable USB cable if the printer is not detected.
- Close Epson Status Monitor and any other Epson maintenance software before starting Wic Reset Connect.
- Connect the printer directly to the computer. Do not use Wi-Fi, a USB hub, docking station or print server.
- Run Wic Reset Connect as Administrator and keep the internet connection active throughout validation.
