Epson T27 Reset Waste Ink Counter
If your Epson T27 has stopped with an ink pad or service-life warning, the printer may have reached its waste ink counter limit. This model-specific guide explains what the message means and how to complete the reset with Wic Reset Connect.
Why Epson T27 stops printing
Epson T27 uses stored counter data to estimate absorber usage. The estimate may reach its limit before the pads appear completely saturated, but physical maintenance should still be considered.
Wic Reset Connect is designed to reset the compatible counter in Epson T27. The physical waste ink system should still be inspected and maintained when necessary.
Reset the counter in Epson T27
Prepare the computer and connection first. Most unsuccessful attempts are caused by a missing original driver, an indirect USB connection or another Epson utility using the printer.

Install the original driver
Install the official Epson driver for T27 and confirm that Windows can see the printer.

Connect directly by USB
Connect Epson T27 to the computer without Wi-Fi, a hub or an adapter.

Start Wic Reset Connect
Close Epson Status Monitor, run Wic Reset Connect as Administrator and select Epson T27.

Enter the key and reset
Enter the purchased key, choose Reset and keep the printer connected until completion.
If Epson T27 is not detected
- Clear paused print jobs and restart both the printer and Windows if another program is holding the USB connection.
- Install the original Epson driver for T27; a generic Windows driver may not expose the required communication interface.
- Connect the printer directly to the computer. Do not use Wi-Fi, a USB hub, docking station or print server.
- Run Wic Reset Connect as Administrator and keep the internet connection active throughout validation.

Does Epson T27 need service mode?
No. Epson printers do not use the Canon service-mode sequence. Connect the printer normally by USB.
Can I reset Epson T27 over Wi-Fi?
No. Wic Reset Connect requires a direct USB connection to the Windows computer.
Does the reset clean or replace the ink pads?
No. It changes the stored counter value. Inspect, clean or replace the physical waste ink system when its condition requires it.
