Epson SX430W Reset Waste Ink Counter
Epson SX430W may refuse new print jobs after estimating that the waste ink pads have reached their service limit. Wic Reset Connect can reset the software counter after the printer is prepared correctly.
The counter behind the Epson SX430W warning
Waste ink produced by cleaning cycles is collected inside the printer. Epson SX430W tracks those cycles electronically and can stop printing when the calculated limit is reached.
Wic Reset Connect is designed to reset the compatible counter in Epson SX430W. The physical waste ink system should still be inspected and maintained when necessary.
Reset the counter in Epson SX430W
Correct preparation protects the reset key from being used during a failed communication attempt. Verify each requirement before selecting Reset.

Install the original driver
Install the official Epson driver for SX430W and confirm that Windows can see the printer.

Connect directly by USB
Connect Epson SX430W to the computer without Wi-Fi, a hub or an adapter.

Start Wic Reset Connect
Close Epson Status Monitor, run Wic Reset Connect as Administrator and select Epson SX430W.

Enter the key and reset
Enter the purchased key, choose Reset and keep the printer connected until completion.
If Epson SX430W is not detected
- Try another USB port and a known data-capable USB cable if the printer is not detected.
- Install the original Epson driver for SX430W; a generic Windows driver may not expose the required communication interface.
- Close Epson Status Monitor and any other Epson maintenance software before starting Wic Reset Connect.
- Run Wic Reset Connect as Administrator and keep the internet connection active throughout validation.

What if the first reset attempt fails?
Correct the driver or USB communication problem first. If the key was consumed, use the new-key generator or contact support.
Does Epson SX430W need service mode?
No. Epson printers do not use the Canon service-mode sequence. Connect the printer normally by USB.
How long does the reset take?
The reset itself usually finishes in about 1–2 minutes after the printer has been detected correctly.
