Epson SX235W may refuse new print jobs after estimating that the waste ink pads have reached their service limit. Wic Reset Connect can reset the software counter after the printer is prepared correctly.

Epson SX235W uses stored counter data to estimate absorber usage. The estimate may reach its limit before the pads appear completely saturated, but physical maintenance should still be considered.

Reset the counter in Epson SX235W
The reset normally takes only a few minutes, but the printer must be detected correctly before the key is used.

Install the official Epson driver for SX235W and confirm that Windows can see the printer.

Connect Epson SX235W to the computer without Wi-Fi, a hub or an adapter.

Start Wic Reset Connect
Close Epson Status Monitor, run Wic Reset Connect as Administrator and select Epson SX235W.

Enter the key and reset
Enter the purchased key, choose Reset and keep the printer connected until completion.
If Epson SX235W is not detected
- Install the original Epson driver for SX235W; a generic Windows driver may not expose the required communication interface.
- Run Wic Reset Connect as Administrator and keep the internet connection active throughout validation.
- Connect the printer directly to the computer. Do not use Wi-Fi, a USB hub, docking station or print server.
- Try another USB port and a known data-capable USB cable if the printer is not detected.

How long does the reset take?
The reset itself usually finishes in about 1–2 minutes after the printer has been detected correctly.
Does Epson SX235W need service mode?
No. Epson printers do not use the Canon service-mode sequence. Connect the printer normally by USB.

Correct the driver or USB communication problem first. If the key was consumed, use the new-key generator or contact support.
