Epson R270 Reset Waste Ink Counter
A waste ink counter warning can prevent Epson R270 from printing even when the printer is otherwise working normally. Follow the checks and reset sequence below to restore operation safely.
The counter behind the Epson R270 warning
Every cleaning cycle sends a small amount of ink to the waste ink system. Epson R270 adds that activity to its counter and displays a maintenance warning when the programmed threshold is reached.
Wic Reset Connect is designed to reset the compatible counter in Epson R270. The physical waste ink system should still be inspected and maintained when necessary.

If Epson R270 is not detected
- Clear paused print jobs and restart both the printer and Windows if another program is holding the USB connection.

Epson R270 reset FAQ
How long does the reset take?
The reset itself usually finishes in about 1–2 minutes after the printer has been detected correctly.
What if the first reset attempt fails?
Correct the driver or USB communication problem first. If the key was consumed, use the new-key generator or contact support.
Does the reset clean or replace the ink pads?
No. It changes the stored counter value. Inspect, clean or replace the physical waste ink system when its condition requires it.
