The problem

Why Epson L475 stops printing

Waste ink produced by cleaning cycles is collected inside the printer. Epson L475 tracks those cycles electronically and can stop printing when the calculated limit is reached.

Wic Reset Connect is designed to reset the compatible counter in Epson L475. The physical waste ink system should still be inspected and maintained when necessary.

Step by step

Reset the counter in Epson L475

Prepare the computer and connection first. Most unsuccessful attempts are caused by a missing original driver, an indirect USB connection or another Epson utility using the printer.

  1. Install the original driver

Install the official Epson driver for L475 and confirm that Windows can see the printer.

  2. Connect directly by USB

Connect Epson L475 to the computer without Wi-Fi, a hub or an adapter.

  3. Start Wic Reset Connect

Close Epson Status Monitor, run Wic Reset Connect as Administrator and select Epson L475.

  4. Enter the key and reset

Enter the purchased key, choose Reset and keep the printer connected until completion.

Finish correctly: Once the reset finishes, power-cycle Epson L475 and wait until it returns to its ready state before printing.
If Epson L475 is not detected
  • Close Epson Status Monitor and any other Epson maintenance software before starting Wic Reset Connect.
  • Run Wic Reset Connect as Administrator and keep the internet connection active throughout validation.
  • Try another USB port and a known data-capable USB cable if the printer is not detected.
  • Install the original Epson driver for L475; a generic Windows driver may not expose the required communication interface.

Epson L475 reset FAQ

How long does the reset take?

The reset itself usually finishes in about 1–2 minutes after the printer has been detected correctly.

Does the reset clean or replace the ink pads?

No. It changes the stored counter value. Inspect, clean or replace the physical waste ink system when its condition requires it.

What if the first reset attempt fails?

Correct the driver or USB communication problem first. If the key was consumed, use the new-key generator or contact support.
