Epson L3259 Reset Waste Ink Counter
A waste ink counter warning can prevent Epson L3259 from printing even when the printer is otherwise working normally. Follow the checks and reset sequence below to restore operation safely.
Before resetting Epson L3259
During head cleaning and normal maintenance, unused ink is directed into internal absorber pads. Epson L3259 estimates that accumulation with a software counter; it does not directly measure the physical amount of ink in the pads.
Wic Reset Connect is designed to reset the compatible counter in Epson L3259. The physical waste ink system should still be inspected and maintained when necessary.
Reset the counter in Epson L3259
Complete these steps in order. A direct USB connection and the original Epson driver are essential for reliable communication.

Install the original driver
Install the official Epson driver for L3259 and confirm that Windows can see the printer.

Connect directly by USB
Connect Epson L3259 to the computer without Wi-Fi, a hub or an adapter.

Start Wic Reset Connect
Close Epson Status Monitor, run Wic Reset Connect as Administrator and select Epson L3259.

Enter the key and reset
Enter the purchased key, choose Reset and keep the printer connected until completion.
If Epson L3259 is not detected
- Connect the printer directly to the computer. Do not use Wi-Fi, a USB hub, docking station or print server.
- Install the original Epson driver for L3259; a generic Windows driver may not expose the required communication interface.
- Clear paused print jobs and restart both the printer and Windows if another program is holding the USB connection.
- Try another USB port and a known data-capable USB cable if the printer is not detected.
