What the Epson DX6050 service message means
Waste ink produced by cleaning cycles is collected inside the printer. Epson DX6050 tracks those cycles electronically and can stop printing when the calculated limit is reached.
Wic Reset Connect is designed to reset the compatible counter in Epson DX6050. The physical waste ink system should still be inspected and maintained when necessary.
Reset the counter in Epson DX6050
Use the sequence below to establish a stable USB connection and clear the waste ink counter.

Install the original driver
Install the official Epson driver for DX6050 and confirm that Windows can see the printer.

Connect directly by USB
Connect Epson DX6050 to the computer without Wi-Fi, a hub or an adapter.

Start Wic Reset Connect
Close Epson Status Monitor, run Wic Reset Connect as Administrator and select Epson DX6050.

Enter the key and reset
Enter the purchased key, choose Reset and keep the printer connected until completion.
If Epson DX6050 is not detected
- Connect the printer directly to the computer. Do not use Wi-Fi, a USB hub, docking station or print server.
- Install the original Epson driver for DX6050; a generic Windows driver may not expose the required communication interface.
- Clear paused print jobs and restart both the printer and Windows if another program is holding the USB connection.
- Close Epson Status Monitor and any other Epson maintenance software before starting Wic Reset Connect.
