Epson CX6000 Reset Waste Ink Counter
When Epson CX6000 reports that an ink pad needs service, restarting the printer alone normally does not clear the lock. A compatible reset procedure is required.
Why Epson CX6000 stops printing
Every cleaning cycle sends a small amount of ink to the waste ink system. Epson CX6000 adds that activity to its counter and displays a maintenance warning when the programmed threshold is reached.
Wic Reset Connect is designed to reset the compatible counter in Epson CX6000. The physical waste ink system should still be inspected and maintained when necessary.
Reset the counter in Epson CX6000
Correct preparation protects the reset key from being used during a failed communication attempt. Verify each requirement before selecting Reset.

Install the original driver
Install the official Epson driver for CX6000 and confirm that Windows can see the printer.

Connect directly by USB
Connect Epson CX6000 to the computer without Wi-Fi, a hub or an adapter.

Start Wic Reset Connect
Close Epson Status Monitor, run Wic Reset Connect as Administrator and select Epson CX6000.

Enter the key and reset
Enter the purchased key, choose Reset and keep the printer connected until completion.
If Epson CX6000 is not detected
- Close Epson Status Monitor and any other Epson maintenance software before starting Wic Reset Connect.
- Install the original Epson driver for CX6000; a generic Windows driver may not expose the required communication interface.
- Connect the printer directly to the computer. Do not use Wi-Fi, a USB hub, docking station or print server.
- Try another USB port and a known data-capable USB cable if the printer is not detected.
