Canon TS6392 Ink Absorber Full Reset
When Canon TS6392 reports that the ink absorber is full, turning it off and on will not normally remove the lock. The printer must be prepared correctly and its counter reset.
Before resetting Canon TS6392
The absorber pads collect ink generated during print-head cleaning. Canon TS6392 tracks those maintenance cycles in memory rather than measuring the pads directly.
Wic Reset Connect is designed to reset the compatible counter in Canon TS6392. The physical waste ink system should still be inspected and maintained when necessary.
How to enter service mode on Canon TS6392
- Turn the printer off.

- Wait briefly, then release Power. The power indicator should remain steadily lit.
Reset the counter in Canon TS6392
Work through the sequence without rushing. Incorrect button timing or a blinking power light means the printer is not ready for the counter reset.

Prepare the printer
Resolve other errors, confirm a steady power light and enter service mode using the sequence above.

Connect directly by USB
Connect Canon TS6392 to a Windows 7, 8, 10 or 11 computer without Wi-Fi or a USB hub.

Start Wic Reset Connect
Run the program as Administrator and wait until the Canon service-mode device is detected.

Enter the key and reset
Enter the purchased key, select Reset and keep the printer connected until confirmation appears.
If Canon TS6392 is not detected
- Close Canon maintenance utilities and clear paused print jobs before opening Wic Reset Connect.
- If Windows does not detect a service-mode device, restart the printer normally, wait 10 seconds and repeat the preparation.
- Run Wic Reset Connect as Administrator and keep internet access active for key validation.
- Connect Canon TS6392 directly to the computer and try another data-capable USB cable or port.

Can I perform the reset over Wi-Fi?
No. Use a direct USB connection between the printer and a Windows computer.
Does the reset clean the ink absorber?
No. It resets the stored counter. Inspect, clean or replace the absorber pads when their physical condition requires maintenance.
Does Canon TS6392 require service mode?
Yes. The printer must expose its maintenance interface before the counter can be reset with Wic Reset Connect.
